Authentic Tiramisu

As I stepped off the plane in Italy for the first time in 1995, I was nervous about meeting my husband’s family, especially since I didn’t speak a word of Italian. But it was his sister, Maria, who took me under her wing and taught me the art of creating authentic Italian dolci (desserts) that would impress even the most discerning palates. This traditional tiramisu recipe, passed down through generations of Italian cooks, is a testament to Maria’s patience and generosity, and it’s now a beloved family favorite that I’m honored to make whenever we visit Italy.
